KAYARCHI

Kayarchy is a free online handbook of sea kayaking. It's very big. As a large-format book it would be over 400 pages. To find your way around, scroll down the section summaries below, use the Index or browse the Full Contents. Before reading, please look at the disclaimer.

Kayarchy.com has been online since 2010. With permission, text and images from Kayarchy have been translated for use by non-profit organisations in French, Spanish, Icelandic and Chinese. Turkish and Finnish are next.

Contributions are always welcome. See About Kayarchy.

QAJAQROLLS

Qajaq Rolls is dedicated to passing on the traditional art of Greenland style kayaking. Greenland style kayak rolling can be a relaxing, yoga-like exercise. Rolling is also a tremendously valuable self-rescue technique, and should be the go-to recovery for any serious kayaker. Greenland kayak rolls are steeped in the history of the Inuit people, whose very survival depended upon their ability to roll up and recover while hunting.
